I had no idea that there are these black & white signs at every single stop of the New York subway system...and I absolutely had no idea that the subway conductors HAVE to point at the signs to signal that they are paying attention.
The New York Subway Signs Experiment, by Yosef Lerner and Rose Sacktor, takes advantage of this little known rule, to bring a little happiness and appreciation to the subway conductors of NYC. LOVE it!
"In New York City, subway conductors have to point at a black and white
sign. At every hour of the day. At every stop. They do this to show that
they've fully arrived on the platform. We decided to show our
appreciation for their work." —Yosef Lerner.
