James Mylne's solo show "Vintage Vogue" highlights his mastery of pen and ink drawing. His medium of choice being a BIC biro pen. With painstaking detail and limitless concentration and patience, Mylne recreates iconic images that may take him 100 hours to complete. I am absolutely amazed by his ability to not show one defined line in his drawings- the layering of feathered pen strokes creates a softness of shadowing and line that is very rare in pen and ink drawings.
Mylne's show, "Vintage Vogue", is open now through October 30th at the Rook & Raven gallery in London.
