Lee Kyu-Hak is a Korean artist who has recreated famous works of art using a very interesting technique- rolling strips of magazines and newsprint around pieces of wood to replicate the artists' brushstrokes and the patterns created from the build-up of paint. I think the idea of using modern publications to re-create a classic design and iconic image is genius. And I always am envious of the patience needed to make art such as this. LOVE it!
